How to Survive and Thrive through December

‘Tis the Season

December can be an emotional roller coaster, especially for women who are often the ones responsible for creating the atmosphere that conveys the season’s celebrations.

There is the decorating, the seasonal foods, the faith traditions, the gift-giving, the family gatherings, and so on.

This time of year evokes a wide range of emotions – joy, sacred connection, kinship, loss, loneliness, sadness, hurt, anger, and exhaustion, to name a few.

Questions for Circle Discussion:

  • When do you know enough is enough?
  • Where in your body do you feel stress signals?
  • How do you take care of yourself to ensure your own well-being?

Let these questions stir responses in you, but resist writing them up in advance.  Then join the Circle with an open mind and heart.  What tends to happen is that you “tune in” to what is being said in response to the questions.  You then intuitively connect with the flow and move with it when each woman shares her own experience. This takes you in directions you didn’t plan and reveals insights you couldn’t have anticipated.

To get the most from your Circle gathering, read the Circle Guidelines.
